Rural Credit Cooperative boosts poverty alleviation via mushroom industry

Over the years, rural credit cooperative of Jianhe County, Guizhou Province, China has been actively devoting itself into poverty alleviation via mushroom industry.

As the main supporting unit of the cooperative, Guizhou Chunhui Modern Agriculture Co., LTD mainly engages in facility construction, technical training, strain R&D, stick production, processing of mushroom products and mushroom marketing. Now, daily mushroom output could reach 6 tons or so in the company.

“Now, we hold over 600 mushroom greenhouses, with the standard design of 7 layers and mu stacking amount of 8000-10,000 sticks, average mu output obtains 6000-10,000 kg,” introduces Mr. Wang, CEO of Chunhui Company, adding that with the present market price of 7 CNY per kg, mu output value is expected to attain above 28,000 CNY.

Till now, mushroom project between the two sides has been launched in 3 phases with the gross investment of 350 million CNY, after the operation, annual output could reach 100 million sticks, output value achieves over 2 billion CNY while 6000 people could be directly encouraged to end poverty and earn extra earnings.
