On November 6, Button mushrooms farmed in Tao’an Village, Taoyuan County, Hunan Province of China are in good growth status in the greenhouse.

Tao’an Village holds over 1193 population, local villagers used to take mountain mining as the leading industry, however, along with the resource exhaustion, its development eventually met the bottleneck. In early 2015, villagers were leaded to plunge into mushroom cultivation.

“Temperature for growth of Button mushroom should be regulated at a range of 14-25 degrees Celsius, in our village, two seasons of Button mushroom could be annually output,” said Mr. Huang Xiaohua, village branch of Tao’an Village.

Up to now, 47 high-standard mushroom greenhouses have been established within Tao’an Village, the projected annual incomes hit over 2 million CNY. In addition, above 200,000 CNY of investment has been raised on establishment of a strain factory that occupies 600 square meters, and a refrigeration house. Next year, another 20 greenhouses are in planned construction while mushroom drying and deep-processing technology will be also introduced to Tao’an Village. After the complete establishment, it is going to become the largest mushroom base which sets strain cultivation, production, R&D and processing into one in Taoyuan County.
